George “Guido” Aspeitia,  Josh Weller,  John Kilner and General Manager Don Mills

 

 

 

Don Mills – General Manager

Don begins his third year as general Manager of the Northern Ohio entry in the Great Lakes Collegiate Summer League,  but has served in the same capacity for the entire Northern Ohio Baseball program since it started.  In only the second year in the league,  Northern Ohio captured the league championship with an over all record of 42-9 and was named “the best team in summer baseball in 2000” by Baseball America.  He has signed four Summer All-Americans and numerous draft picks.  Don’s goal is to allow the student-athlete an opportunity to compete and get better on and off the field.

George “Guido” Aspeitia – Head Coach

Guido begins his sixth year in the Northern Ohio Baseball program.  His Overall record is 114-31,  his record as head coach of the collegiate league team is 68-14 with one league championship and one second place finish.  Guido has spent the last four years as the administrative assistant at Cal State Fullerton under George Horton  and served as an assistant coach under Augie Garrido at Fullerton also.

John Kilner – Assistant Coach

John has spent the last six years in the Northern Ohio baseball program, his primary focus has been the pitching staff.  His 2000 staff had a 1.65 era over 51 games and produced the Great Lakes League pitcher of the year.  John spent eight years in the Atlanta Braves organization under the direction of coach Leo Mazzone before joining the Northern Ohio staff.
